Environmental campaigners in Northumberland are intensifying their opposition to plans to dual the A1, raising concerns about increased traffic, carbon emissions, and road safety. The group, known as SPACE for Gosforth, has demanded further clarification from both local authorities and National Highways amidst ongoing debates over the project’s potential impact.
