When asked if Russia shared these values, she deflected, stating it was not the focus of the conversation.

The tension escalated further after Zelensky’s meeting with Trump at the White House. Trump remarked that Zelensky could return to the Oval Office only when he was “ready for peace,” implying that Zelensky was the obstacle to resolving the conflict.
