Global fans of BTS will have the opportunity to experience the group’s highly anticipated ARIRANG world tour through live cinema broadcasts. Trafalgar Releasing, HYBE, and BIGHIT MUSIC announced plans to bring BTS concerts to movie theaters worldwide, with live screenings from their Goyang, South Korea show on April 11 and Tokyo, Japan performance on April 18.
According to the announcement, the BTS live viewing events will be available at over 3,800 cinema locations across more than 80 territories. This marks the group’s first full reunion on the global stage since 2022, featuring all seven members: RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook.
Immersive 360-Degree Stage Experience
The BTS live viewing will showcase the tour’s spectacular 360-degree center-stage design, offering fans an optimal viewing perspective. During a recent Weverse LIVE broadcast, j-hope shared his excitement about the innovative stage setup. “This time will be special because of the 360-degree stage,” he explained, noting that the immersive format creates a unique concert experience.
Each territory will screen both concerts twice to accommodate different time zones, according to the official announcement. Additional live viewing events are planned for later in 2026, though specific dates have not yet been confirmed.
Record-Breaking World Tour Launch
The cinema broadcasts coincide with the launch of BTS WORLD TOUR: ARIRANG, which begins April 9 in Goyang, South Korea. The tour encompasses 82 shows across 34 cities worldwide, setting a new record for the most tour dates by a K-pop artist.
Meanwhile, the group’s fifth full-length album, also titled ARIRANG, is scheduled for release on March 20. The album reflects BTS’s musical journey from their 2013 debut to present day, exploring a wide range of emotions inspired by the Korean word “arirang.”
Multi-Platform Comeback Strategy
In addition to the BTS live viewing events, the group has partnered with Netflix for their comeback performance. A live stream from Seoul’s historic Gwanghwamun Square is scheduled for March 21, the day after the album release.
The members have expressed their dedication to preparing for the tour during their recent online appearances. However, specific setlist details and additional performance elements have not been disclosed by BIGHIT MUSIC at this time.
Accessibility for Global ARMY
The live cinema broadcasts provide an alternative for fans unable to attend the BTS concerts in person. Ticket information and participating theater locations are available through the official BTS live viewing website.
Additionally, the announcement emphasized that screening times will vary by territory to ensure optimal viewing hours for local audiences. This approach mirrors strategies used for other major K-pop concert broadcasts in recent years.
The theatrical screenings represent a significant expansion of BTS’s reach during their comeback period. In contrast to traditional concert films released after tours conclude, these live broadcasts offer real-time participation in the ARIRANG tour experience.
Further details about additional live viewing dates later in 2026 are expected to be announced by Trafalgar Releasing and BIGHIT MUSIC in the coming months. The companies have not confirmed specific territories or venues for these future broadcasts.
