Dynasty fantasy football managers face difficult roster decisions when evaluating underperforming players, and several once-promising talents have seen their stock plummet dramatically. Three players currently ranked between 200-225 on Keep Trade Cut—Tank Dell, Jaylen Wright, and Xavier Legette—may no longer deserve roster spots in dynasty leagues, according to recent performance analysis and changing team dynamics.

Each of these players entered the NFL with optimism but has since encountered obstacles that severely limit their fantasy football upside. While letting go of players who commanded draft capital or showed early promise remains challenging, holding onto declining assets prevents managers from adding more valuable prospects or reliable depth pieces.

Tank Dell Faces Uphill Battle After Injury

Tank Dell suffered a significant injury during the 2024 season that sidelined him for the entire 2025 campaign, according to reports. The Houston Texans wide receiver showed promise as a rookie, averaging 15 points per game across 11 contests, but his production dropped to just 10 points per game over 14 games in 2024.

Dell’s physical profile presents additional concerns for dynasty fantasy football managers evaluating his long-term viability. At 5’10” and 165 pounds, the undersized receiver faces a challenging recovery path following his injury layoff.

Meanwhile, Houston’s receiving corps has evolved significantly around him. Nico Collins remains the clear WR1, while the team added Jayden Higgins and spent a third-round pick on Jaylin Noel in the 2025 NFL Draft. Despite Noel’s underwhelming rookie season, the draft investment suggests the team views him as the future WR3.

Additionally, quarterback C.J. Stroud threw for only 3,041 yards across 14 games last season, limiting the overall passing volume available. Dell now projects as a WR4 in an offense without sufficient targets to support four fantasy-relevant receivers.

Jaylen Wright Loses Ground in Miami Backfield

The Miami Dolphins selected Jaylen Wright in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft with hopes he could develop into a complementary running back. However, Wright has never exceeded 75 carries in a single season through his first two NFL campaigns, according to statistical records.

The situation deteriorated further when Miami drafted Ollie Gordon in the sixth round of 2025. Though Gordon commanded lower draft capital, he brings significant upside after rushing for 1,732 yards as a college sophomore.

In contrast, Wright appears to offer a safer floor but limited ceiling in dynasty fantasy football formats. Gordon’s higher potential makes him the more attractive developmental prospect moving forward, pushing Wright further down the depth chart.

Xavier Legette’s Production Declines Dramatically

Xavier Legette experienced a concerning regression in his second NFL season, dropping from 49 receptions for 497 yards as a rookie to just 35 catches for 363 yards in 2025. The decline occurred despite playing only one fewer game, appearing in 15 contests.

The Carolina Panthers’ addition of Tetairoa McMillan eliminates any possibility of Legette becoming the team’s primary receiving option. However, even securing the WR2 role appears uncertain given emerging competition.

Jalen Coker outproduced Legette in 2025 with 394 receiving yards despite appearing in only 11 games, the team announced. This suggests Coker has overtaken Legette in the pecking order, potentially relegating the 2024 first-rounder to WR3 duties at best.

Furthermore, Carolina may add additional receiving talent through the draft or free agency, further diminishing Legette’s target share. Despite being selected 32nd overall in 2024, his trajectory suggests minimal fantasy football value going forward.

Dynasty managers holding these three players should monitor offseason roster moves and training camp reports, though the outlook for all three remains bleak barring unexpected developments or injuries to teammates ahead of them on depth charts.
