EU Organic Deal Campaign Brings European Organic Products to UK and UAE Consumers

The European Union (EU) has launched a new campaign, called the ‘EU Organic Deal,’ to raise awareness and promote the exceptional quality and benefits of European organic products. Consumers in the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will have the opportunity to explore a wide range of organic goods from Bulgaria, Romania, and Greece. The campaign aims to highlight the sustainable and organic farming practices employed in the production of these products, ensuring the highest standards of quality and purity.

Organized by prominent participant organizations, including The Bulgarian National Horticultural Union (BNHU), The Association of Operators in Organic Farming Bio-Romania, and the Union of Hellenic Chambers (UHC), the ‘EU Organic Deal’ program brings together key stakeholders to drive the promotion of European organic products.

The BNHU, acting as the coordinator of the program, is a non-profit organization established in 2003. Comprising major producers of both traditional and non-traditional Bulgarian fruits and vegetables, as well as a significant producer of Bulgarian organic cherry juice, the BNHU’s main objective is to enhance the competitiveness of Bulgarian produce in international markets and promote export growth.

The Association of Operators in Organic Farming Bio-Romania, a non-governmental and independent entity founded in 2008, is dedicated to the sustainable development of agriculture and rural areas in Romania. It focuses on educating and raising consumer awareness about the benefits of organic farming for human health and the environment, actively advocating for the consumption of certified organic food.

The Union of Hellenic Chambers (UHC), comprising 59 Hellenic Chambers, plays a vital role as an advisory body to the Greek state on matters of economy and growth. Representing the entire business landscape of Greece, including commerce, industry, crafts, and professions, the UHC provides services and support to the Hellenic Chambers both domestically and internationally.

The ‘EU Organic Deal’ program aligns with the European Green Deal’s focus on sustainable agricultural practices. Supporting local farmers and producers, the initiative aims to encourage the adoption of environmentally-friendly farming techniques. Additionally, the program emphasizes the commitment of all EU member states to ensure food quality through comprehensive legislative frameworks.

Consumers will have the opportunity to experience a diverse range of organic products through the ‘EU Organic Deal’ campaign. The selection includes fruit juices like cherry, berries, apple, and grapes, as well as organic olive oil, sunflower oil, coffee, cheese, and tea. All of these goods are cultivated using sustainable and organic farming methods, guaranteeing top-notch quality and purity.
