Haryana Chief-Minister Manohar Lal Khattar announced Sunday morning that even though the COVID-19 situation has been gradually improving in the state, it has been decided to extend the Haryana” lockdown till 5 am on June 7 with some more relaxations. It relaxed curbs imposed on shop timings and malls.
To fight the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in Haryana, the government had initially imposed a lockdown on May 3 for a week till May 10 which has seen a 4 times extension to date.
Also, the same way the COVID-19 lockdown in Delhi has been extended for another week. Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal government announced on Saturday, that lockdown will continue to stay in Delhi, set to end on Monday, will now be in place till June 7 as it allowed manufacturing and construction businesses to resume work with covid protocols.
The virus is reducing in Delhi slowly and steadily, and I hope it diminishes completely and does not rise again. However, we are not going to become negligent in any way”, while sounding a tone of caution. – Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal.
He added that it’s time that ‘Delhi should unlock now’, but we will have to stop this unlock process if the case in Delhi begins to rise and cause fatal.
It’s the first time since march that Delhi has seen Covid cases less than the 1000 mark. On March 21, 823 cases were recorded.
Haryana Restrictions And What’s all Allowed
Shops relaxations: Shops that were earlier allowed to open on a per odd-even basis from 7 am to 12 pm will now be open from 9 am to 3 pm.
Malls will now be allowed to open from 10 am to 6 pm, following COVID protocols and norms. Footfalls to be allowed inside a mall will depend on the size of the structure
Haryana Colleges, industrial training institutes, and schools will remain closed till June 15 as already announced.
“Corona curfew” timing in the state will continue to be from 10 pm to 5 am daily.
Liquor shops are however allowed to open following protocols and dedicated timing with no rush.
Delhi Restrictions And What’s All Allowed
Construction and manufacturing units will be allowed to resume activity under certain conditions. Construction companies need to strictly follow covid precautions and shifts. Workers will be tested for COVID-19 by the authorities on a random basis.
Shops and malls are allowed to open with a limited timeframe, following all the necessary covid protocols
Delhi Colleges, industrial training institutes, and schools will remain closed till June 15 or more depending on further notice.
Liquor shops in Delhi are allowed to open following protocols with limited time maintaining social distancing.
